A Journey from Awareness to Healing

Transforming Lives Through Mobile Exhibits

Our trailers are more than just vehicles; they are catalysts for change, traveling across the nation to educate, connect, and inspire communities about the realities of PTSD among veterans.

Why We Built the First Trailer

The Mission Behind the Trailers

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is one of the most silent and deadly threats facing American veterans today. Many return home from service only to face a new battle — one that too often ends in isolation, despair, and suicide.

We knew that awareness alone wouldn’t save lives, but silence would certainly cost them. That’s why we launched The Trailer Project: a grassroots movement to bring the stories of veterans lost to PTSD out into the open — and right into communities where change can begin.

Each trailer is a mobile memorial, dedicated to telling the real, personal, and often heartbreaking stories of veterans who died by suicide due to untreated or misunderstood PTSD. By showing their photos, quotes, and service histories in public spaces, we bring humanity to the statistics — and urgency to the cause.

How a Trailer Becomes a Tool for Healing

Trailers are custom-built to serve as traveling exhibits. They are parked at schools, parades, government buildings, fairs, military bases, and anywhere people gather — giving communities a chance to see, reflect, and respond.  They travel our roads and have unprecedent visibility.

Every trailer includes:

  • Personal stories of veterans who died by suicide

  • PTSD and mental health education materials

  • Suicide prevention hotline QR codes

  • Informational resources for family and friends

  • A quiet space for reflection and emotional response

These trailers don’t just memorialize. They catalyze. Communities begin to talk. Veterans speak up. Families connect. And the healing begins.

A Crisis Hiding in Plain Sight

Why It Matters

Every day, approximately 22 veterans die by suicide. Many of them never received the mental health care they needed. Some were too ashamed to ask for help. Others simply didn’t know where to turn.

PTSD is invisible to the eye but devastating to the soul. By making this crisis impossible to ignore, The Trailer Project breaks the silence and reminds communities that veterans carry their service with them long after the uniform comes off.

“People can’t care if they don’t know. These trailers make sure they know.”
— Gold Star Father

The Trailer Project in Action

Our mobile exhibits have reached countless communities, sparking vital conversations and offering hope to those affected by PTSD.

“When the trailer arrived, it opened our students' eyes to the silent battles veterans face. It was a turning point in their understanding of PTSD.”

What’s Next — Expanding the Fleet

We want every state to have access to a PTSD awareness trailer. But we can’t do it alone. Each trailer costs approximately $18,000–$25,000 to produce, equip, and maintain.

By donating or sponsoring a trailer, you:

  • Help spread awareness in underserved communities

  • Create a lasting legacy for a veteran or loved one

  • Enable year-round outreach and education

  • Honor those lost by helping those still fighting
