What is PTSD?
PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) is a mental health problem that some people develop after experiencing or witnessing a life-threatening event, like combat, a natural disaster, a car accident, or sexual assault.
It’s normal to have upsetting memories, feel on edge, or have trouble sleeping after this type of event. At first, it may be hard to do normal daily activities, like go to work, go to school, or spend time with people you care about. But most people start to feel better after a few weeks or months.
If it’s been longer than a few months and you’re still having symptoms, you may have PTSD. For some people, PTSD symptoms may start later on, or they may come and go over time.
Secondary PTSD may affect anyone who cares for a veteran suffering from PTSD. Spouses, family members and friends all need education and support from one another in order to help themselves and to provide the best care possible for a loved one suffering from PTSD. Our country has asked these brave veterans, many of whom were volunteers, to do incredible and unsettling things for us so we may live our lives in FREEDOM.
Our Media Campaign is Simple
I and other local veterans, businesses, friends, and veteran organizations help blast it out on social media, Facebook, etc. As social media does its thing, spreading the news, educating and bringing awareness to the populace about PTSD. The populace (small contractors, veterans, friends, homeowners, etc.) will rent a trailer to go pick up large purchases, or landscaping projects, or take your motorcycle to ‘Everyway USA’
